Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Established in 2009, the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at VKCET fosters a dynamic academic environment, which is committed to a tradition of excellence in teaching, research and service. With a team of dedicated faculty members having ample expertise in various fields of specializations, such as Power Electronics, Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Control Systems, Instrumentation & Digital Electronics, the department maintains a stable foundation and strong commitment to teaching and is acknowledged as one of the best EEE departments in the region. The department continues to make steady progress in creative research & development and to engage in constant expansion of enriching knowledge. The different laboratories of the department are manned by well experienced technical support personnel.
The Electrical Engineering curriculum is a four-year program awarding, on successful completion, a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The course, as per the norms and guidelines of Kerala Technological University, has been designed to provide an in-depth knowledge and significant design experience across the key areas of Electrical & Electronics Engineering that evolve with the needs of the society. Our students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they progress through the program. They also gain practical experience by working and experimenting in the highly equipped workshops and laboratories of the Department.
